Concerning the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, The £450 million Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) will provide upfront capital grants to households and small businesses looking to install heat pumps and, in some limited cases, biomass boilers. The BUS scheme will officially launch on May 23rd, but heat pump installations installed after April 1st, 2022, will be eligible for their respective grant. Over the course of three years, the initiative is projected to assist in the installation of 90,000 heat pumps.
Homeowners will be able to claim up to £7,500 for the installation of an air source heat pump under the plan. Vouchers of up to £7,500 are available for ground source heat pumps. BUS coupons will be valid for three months for air travel and six months for ground travel.
